Broken Bonds

Maria Rita is a pastor in the Covilhã area who goes to Aveiro in search of her origins, and where she falls in love with David, a lawyer who has a relationship with Vera. Vera is the daughter of Henrique, a man blinded by the business he inherited from previous generations, and he does not look at the means to achieve his ends. She gets involved with Arthur, who helps her with her antics, while obsessing over her boyfriend David.
