Speed Run April 25, 2013: Nintendo, Valve, Electronic Arts, Star Trek: The Game
Nintendo shared its plans to boost Wii U sales and how it will use the GamePad's near-field communication capabilities — as well as announced it will not be holding a press conference at E3 2013. Valve introduced Steam Subscription Plans, a way for players to manage their subscription-based games. Electronic Arts closed two studios and implemented another round of layoffs. Star Trek: The Game will not live long and prosper.
