"Cacau" is a story whose action takes place on two continents, in Portugal and Brazil. The plot portrays the life of a young girl who lives on a farm in Itacaré, Bahia, with her Portuguese parents, Joaquim and Filomena, the trusted people of the rich owner, Justino. Cacau dreams of obtaining a diploma in chocolate making, but she doesn't have the money to do so. Everything changes when her father breaks a past pact and reveals his true identity, leading Justino to discover that he had a daughter with another woman. The revelation triggers a series of intrigues and conflicts that put the family's heritage at risk, as Cacau becomes a threat to the other heirs.
