The Story of the Netherlands tells the story of the country we live in, from the moment the first inhabitants settled there. Never before has our history, and how it has made us who we are today, been made tangible in this way. Actor and narrator Daan Schuurmans takes the viewer through the highs and lows of our history. His role as narrator means that he visits every place of significance and sometimes appears in the middle of the drama. In addition, his narration is combined with commentary from experts.
