When I decided to interview my father about his past, he had just been diagnosed with a severe stage of Alzheimer. I decided to travel to his hometown to look for his memories. A journey among childhood friends or relatives who remained in the country. In the village of Bayel, a collective remembrance is uncovered, a rural community weakened by delocalization, people who dwell on a fantasies from the past. As my father’s memory slowly disappears, it is a whole era that fades away.
