Malfurion Stormrage (Part 3)
Hello and welcome to Lore for Noobs from OMFG.fm. This is the amazing and fantastic Sam "Ocelot"
Donovan, here to tell you about Malfurion Stormrage, part three.
With their armies ready, the fate of Azeroth was about to be decided. Malfurion formed a plan that was
sure to end in victory. Malfurion knew what had to be done: use the very power Archimonde fought for,
against him.
Archimonde tore through, well, everything. Finally reaching the top, Malfurion did what had to be done.
Blowing the horn of Cenarius, and summoning the power of the very tree itself, and the surrounding
forests. The wisps flew at Archimonde and detonated, ending the Arch-Demon, and his plans. However
the Tree was severely scarred and broken from the battle, ending the night elves immortality.
Some time later, Maiev Shadowsong, previous jailor of Illidan, found Malfurion and Tyrande. Evidently,
Illidan had returned, and attempted to slaughter Maiev and her troops...with the help of the Naga.
Together, they fought through hordes of Naga, they found Illidan, who kidnapped Tyrande, only to give
her back with a warning not to follow him.
They, of course, followed him across the great sea to Lordaeron. Tyrande and Maiev went off in search
of Illidan, while Malfurion journeyed to the woods, and learned through the spirits of the forest that
Northrend was being destroyed by Illidan.
He went back to Maiev, but Tyrande was not there. He was informed that she had died in battle.
Malfurion, Maiev, and their new ally Kael'Thas Sunstrider went off to find and capture Illidan. It was
upon questioning Illidan of Tyrande's death that Kael told Malfurion they had only seen her taken down
the river. Giving Maiev the finger and trapping her, and Illidan volunteering his Naga to find Tyrande.
Being grateful for the return of his beloved, he gave Illidan his freedom, but told him to never return.
Illidan went to outland, Maiev chased after, and the lovestruck duo returned home.
Drifting back to the Emerald Dream, he replenished his spent powers. However, all was not well in the
Dream. The Nightmare had taken control and trapped Malfurion within its dark confines. However,
his captor was not who he was expecting. None other than Lord Xavius, who he had thought dead ten
thousand years prior, had survived through the Emerald dream, thanks to the very tree he had been
devoured by.
With aid from Tyrande, Broll Bearmantle, Ysera, Alextrasza, Varian and more, he was able to finally
escape, and rid the universe of Xavius once and for all. Now free again, he removed the corruption
within Telddrassil, and finally, after ten thousand years, married Tyrande. She was a very patient
woman. Presently, Malfurion leads the army of Cenarius, defending Mount Hyjal from Deathwing, in
what could be his greatest struggle yet.
