As the historian Cécile Ottogalli-Mazzacavallo maintains, “The history of sports is the history of a permanent struggle”. For women, the right to play sports has been a conquest. And the emancipation has been accompanied by bans and injunctions. In four episodes, this documentary traces, through rare archive images, analyses by experts (historians, sociologists, etc.) and testimonials from sportswomen, the history of sport and the battles of women to conquer their place in a universe governed by men.
