Supermodel Hilary Rhoda shows Architectural Digest her morning routine. Maybe she’s born with it? Sure. There are plenty of extremely fortunate physical features a model like Hilary Rhoda will have her entire life, but that doesn’t mean maintenance of those blessings is a breeze. After seeing some bits of the model/beauty guru/health nut’s daily home life via her captivating Instagram account—including makeup tutorials, impromptu cooking shows, and plenty of cameos from her dogs Winnie and Chloe—we were compelled to know more. Thankfully, Rhoda has nothing to hide and invited us into her impeccable Manhattan duplex in Astor Place to follow her everyday morning routine, from putting a model-off-duty outfit together to her "no makeup-makeup" look. We’re happy to report it’s not as simple as “I woke up like this.”

I've lived here for years.
This is like a very historic building.
It's a landmark building.
It was the Mercantile Library.
[Interviewer] What time do you usually wake up?
Yeah, so I wake up in the morning
usually pretty early.
Come downstairs,
make a casual breakfast.
Sean [Avery] says I'm a pretty good cook, so.
I usually do like a light workout.
Nothing too crazy.
Just around the apartment.
I've been taking singing lessons
so I've been trying to work on my voice.
So maybe I'll do a quick warmup
before as I'm getting ready.
Gosh, is this thing on?
And then I just do like
a light makeup tutorial
maybe, quick on Instagram.
And welcome to this episode
of makeup with Hillary.
Right on the apple of those cheeks.
Some mascara,
ever so gently,
Now for the lipstick, watch and learn.
It just makes me feel so much more awake.
