Audrey's Shelter

Audrey, an 8-year-old who lives at her family’s Refuge for endangered species, counts the saiga, kakapo, and northern hairy-nosed wombat among her closest friends.

Despite the challenges of caring for wild animals, Audrey’s empathy and humor make it worthwhile. But while Audrey is amazing with animals, she’s a little less amazing with people… until she met Tommy, a city boy who just moved next door, who’s a nerd of animals but never even had a pet. So now, together Audrey and Tommy navigate the adventures at the Refuge, learning, growing and having fun along the way.
