In the small town of Walden, young residents keep disappearing under mysterious circumstances. One of them is Magda, the niece of the pianist Lara Glanz. She returns to her old hometown and takes a job as a teacher. She also searches for Magda on her own, whose disappearance seems increasingly mysterious.
