In 1976, the disco wave spread to Bochum: an overwhelming desire for freedom meets stuffy conventions, disco beats meet solid hits, glamor meets coal dust. Disco fever is also rampant among Doro and her siblings, who want more from life than to live up to their parents' expectations: in the light of the disco ball they can be young, rebellious and wild, live in the moment, turn night into day, fly high and fall low.
