In this video, I try to parse through the supposed themes of justice and morality in Death Note to find a deeper understanding of what the series was going for. I think we get caught up in the ideological battle between Light and L, trying to decide who was right or wrong. But in looking at a different character, Ryuk, we see there’s more to Death Note than meets the eye.
