About Fire Emblem:
Fire Emblem is a role-playing video game franchise developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. Fire Emblem’s first release was Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light which was originally released April 20, 1990 on the Family Computer AKA NES or Nintendo Entertainment System. The series currently has fourteen games which have been released on many platforms including: Family Computer, Super Famicom, Game Boy Advance,GameCube, Nintendo DS, Wii and Nintendo 3DS. All Fire Emblem games were exclusive to Japan until 2003 when they released the 7th game in the series
Gameplay:
Fire Emblem games consist of moving units through a map in order to defeat the enemies. Players are able to strategically position and move their units to complete mission objectives such as defeating a boss, seizing a base and surviving every turn. Fire Emblem also uses story building aspects such as those used in traditional role-playing games including: units gaining experience points, the player visiting shops to buy weapons and equipment for units and scripted scenes to build the plot. Combat in the game is determined by a number of attributes and factors including: HP, Damage, Strength, Defense, Magic and Resistance, Speed as well as luck (i.e. “critical strikes” causing increased damage).
History:
Fire Emblem takes place on six continents including: Archanea, Valentia, Jugdral, Elibe, Magvel and Tellius. The backstory of Fire Emblem takes places thousands of years ago when humans and dragons lived peacefully together on the continent of Elibe. After the Scouring, a war in which the humans declared war on the dragons, the dragons were never to be seen again on Elb. Fire Emblem takes place a millenium later beginning with a young girl named Lyn.

Transcript:
Thousands of years ago, humans and dragons lived in harmony on the continent of Elibe. That is, until the humans naturally declared all out war on the dragons. This war, known as the Scouring, led to a mass exodus of the dragons who were never to be seen again.
A millenium later, a young girl named Lyn learned she is the granddaughter of the current Marquess and therefore the rightful heir to Caelin. News of this inheritance is spoiled slightly by her grandfather's brother, Lundgren, trying to kill her and her grandfather so he can claim the throne for himself.
On top of that, a guild of assassins and mercenaries known as the Black Fang have been using humanoid creatures known as morphs to kill people and steal their quintessence, or life energy. No one knows their exact intentions, but it’s rumored that the Black Fang are attempting to reopen a portal using the stolen quintessence to bring the dragons back.
Lyn recruits you, both conveniently a master tactician and unconscious on the side of the road, to defeat Lundgren, the Black Fang, and save the world from another devastating war against the dragons.
