Beautiful imagery but a lackluster main character that diminishes the storyline of the film. We're provided with little to no details of his background (he ran away from feeling "suffocated") so it's hard to understand his intentions (why was he so obsessed with hina?what was so bad about his home that he would refuse to return at the expense of other people?). Watching this with my family members, we were all rooting for the police to catch this dude and put him in jail. Watch with 1 braincell.

Avoid purchasing this on Google Play. It does not have the subs for the Japanese version but, instead, has captions for the English version. The capstone scene of this movie has lines delivered that miss the original meaning in the subs. Other services offer the proper sub version. Other than that, the movie is phenomenal. If Your Name is an 8.5/10, this movie is nothing lower than a 7.5/10. Don't miss it.

It's not quite as good as "Your Name", but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Note: Google recently updated the movie to have both English and Japanese language tracks. I hope they do the same for other anime in the future.
