A Dog Year

Sometimes change comes on four legs. Oscar(R) nominee Jeff Bridges stars in a true story of two souls transformed through one unlikely alliance: 'A Dog Year.' Based on the real-life 2003 memoir by best-selling author Jon Katz, this film tells the story of a 50-something writer in a mid-existential crisis who impulsively agrees to adopt a well-bred but high-strung border collie. As the dog wreaks havoc on his suburban household, Jon's angst-ridden attempts to rein him in meet with little success. But a move to a rural farmhouse, combined with behavioral lessons from a real-life dog whisperer and her herd of sheep, slowly yields dividends for the dog and, most importantly, for Jon. Co-starring Lauren Ambrose (Emmy(R) nominee for HBO's 'Six Feet Under') and Lois Smith (HBO's 'True Blood'). Written and directed by George LaVoo.
