Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin

The days of fertility goddess Princess Sakuna leading a pampered, privileged life come to an end when she allows humans into the realm of the gods.

Much to her chagrin, Sakuna and her fellow exiles battle through raging ocean waters to reach Hinoe Island — but their trials have only just begun.

Guided by the instructional notes left by her mother, Sakuna and the others begin the laborious, time-consuming task of growing rice.

In dire need of help with the rice field, Sakuna and friends decide to approach the nearby kappa water sprites and ask them to help.

Realizing that Yui has feelings for Kinta, Sakuna decides to help her catch his eye — but Kinta is always busy in his workshop.

With the arrival of autumn, Sakuna is excited to see that the rice is almost ready for harvest — but Tauemon warns that the crop can still be lost.

Back in the capital to report on her progress, Sakuna is overjoyed to see Princess Kokorowa — but something feels off with her old friend.

Sakuna makes a drastic move to try to figure out who could have sabotaged their rice, causing it to be banned from the capital.

After treating an injured, demonic rabbit, Sakuna, Kokorowa and Ashigumo work to discover what’s causing the increased presence of demons in the area.

Though relieved to find her friends have survived and are safe, Sakuna must figure out how to deal with the aftermath of the volcano's eruption.
