Absolutely enthralled me as a child when it first came out - and it still does. Being from Texas, it has supervision meaning for me. Visited the Alamo after seeing this movie in '55 or '56 and I stood in awe at the Chapel. Of course having studied the siege of the Alamo in depth, I now understand that the chapel was just a small part of the Alamo complex. In was indeed a miracle that those men held off an army of 5,000+ for 13 days! May God bless their souls forever.

A true American Hero, who, as a Congressman in 1834, stood up for the rights of the Cherokee Indians, who were illegally moved to Oklahoma! He was so upset that he left US for the then, independent Texas Republic, and died later, a true American Hero, in the Alamo, in 1838.
