Emo the Musical

This was a great spin on a classic 'Romeo and Juilet'- type story. I loved the songs too; there's a great variety in what they sound like. The movie does a fantastic job of knowing when to be hilarious and when to take itself seriously. Filled with emotion, laughs, and some really sweet songs, I'd recommend this movie to anyone who's in for a great time. Honestly I wish I could help do a stage adaptation of this or something.

I'm so sad that its being removed from Netflix today but i still love the film. absolutely would watch hundreds more times even though ive already done that many many times.

The script for this movie is very well written and any aspects that might come across as corny (which is almost a given when watching a musical) is worked into being one of the things you love about it. The exaggeration, overall tone and, of course, the music all fit with each other in a way that anyone who is even slightly within their "Emo" target audience is sucked into the nostalgia and emotional ups and downs that this movie is about. So ignite your chemical romance and embrace your inner teen angst while you enjoy this movie!
