"Kedi" is a charming, beautifully photographed documentary about the city of Istanbul's special culture and relationship with hundreds of thousands of stray cats who come and go as they please. The film focuses on seven cats with distinctive personalities. Director Ceyda Torun grew up in Istanbul, gaining a special appreciation of the ancient city's unique relationship with it's large population of stray cats. Special camera rigs were created and used to show unusual vantage points from the perspective of the cats. People share their philosophy of life and of cats, which adds a layer of spirituality to the film. Cat lovers, such as myself, will greatly enjoy this film. Anyone who loves animals, will find this film charming. This is truly a film made from dedication, patience and a genuine love for cats. Highly recommended. Educational and entertaining.

Such a beautiful tribute to the cats, their city, and the warm-hearted people of Istanbul that share their lives with these cats. It is such a feel good movie , that one doesn't have to be a cat lover to enjoy. Beautiful filming, scenery, and the story is beautifully told. Worth buying . ..I did.
