Thought I would give this a try but only made it about 20 minutes in when I realized it wasn't even worth $0.01 rental (wish that is what I had paid). Went back to cable and started watching The Evil Dead from `81 on HBO, first few minutes was more enjoyable than this worthless movie.

Beautiful. Jim Carrey refusing to be stuck inside one genre, pushes again
his boundaries into serious roles. Wonderfully told story, and wonderful
acting. Other people though... they're just mad because they settled for
the "old" Jim Carrey. Instead of growing with him, over the past 30 years.
So they dont like seeing him outside of comedy.

The movie isn’t bad... but it’s not particularly good either. The director took the filming ideology of ‘Show Don’t Tell’ way to far, to the point the audience is being told almost nothing, so what’s being shown end up not making any sense. Big thumbs up to Jim Carrey 👍, his performance is really good in my opinion, despite being a complete departure from his usual role. You almost can’t tell it’s him.
