Reflections in a Golden Eye

Academy Award winners Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando star in John Huston's adaptation of Carson McCullers' novel of passion and perversion seething beneath the peaceful surface of a quiet military base. At a quiet Georgia army base, Major Welden Penderton (Marlon Brando) shows no interest in his wife, Leonora (Elizabeth Taylor), so she takes a lover--her husband's superior officer (Brian Keith), whose neurotic wife (Julie Harris) rarely leaves her sickbed. Meanwhile, the repressed Penderton lusts after handsome Private Williams (Robert Forster), a mysterious young man whose secret obsession with Leonora reaches a terrifyingly dangerous climax.
