DC Animation gives us an enjoyable, albeit a bit far fetched, superhero story in this installment. The heart of this story is the relationship between Superman & Batman. Their dialogue is great and you really believe they are good friends who have each other's backs. Yet while that dynamic is enjoyable, there are other things that just seem out of place. I'll highlight just 2: Lex Luthor doesn't quite fit in with the tone, & Power Girl is so sexualized it makes for some pretty awkward scenes.

I know superhero movies aren't supposed to be realistic, but this movie pushed the boundaries one too many times for me. If I had to take a shot for every time Batman should've been killed, I'd end up being hospitalized for alcohol poisoning. The character art direction wasn't the best either. The character designs made every male superhero look too much alike, and Power Girl was so awkward looking it was just painful to look at sometimes. It also felt like they tried to put in too many superhero cameos. There's a lot of great DCU animated movies out there, but this wasn't one of them.

Overflowing with superpowered beat downs! One after another, the fight scenes are endless! Superman and Batman go up against a mega rogues gallery of villains in this epic team-up story. The story, featuring Lex Luther as the POTUS, is pretty fun. And seeing busty Powergirl is always a pleasure. The banter between Toy Maker and Powergirl is priceless! My only complaint is that the animation, while totally competent, still totally stinks. Especially Superman. Those square jawlines are a big NO
