If you saw (like I did) Arnold Schwartzenegger's The 6th Day; Johnny Depp's Transendence; and the Bruce Willis movie Surrogates; not to mention the 2004 movie Godsend (Greg Kinnear Rebecca Romjin; Robert DeNiro); you'd say this movie was a mismash combination of all of those movies. Which is why this particular movie with Keanu Reeves doesn't garner much praise. Every element of the movie has been done already by other movies that focused on at least one element.

What do you get when you mix bad acting, comically bad dialog, and a moronic plot? You get a movie that required fast forward repeatedly to get to the end of a muddled mess. A good sci-fi movie can offer plausibility within the realm of impossibility but Replicas throws plausibility out the window and piles one absurdity on top of another. Keanu Reeves playing the mad scientist is just eye-rolling and the rest of the cast puts you to sleep. Glad I only rented this flop.

Had potential but failed to live up to it. Had plot holes you could drive a bus through, felt super rushed, and worst of all the "replica" cgi was awful for a movie in 2019, looked like it was out of 1984. Which makes no sense considering how good their high-tech altered reality interface looked.
