First off all Pokémon are great in their own way but I will say that is best emotional film in the franchise though I'll also say that the Pokémon the First Movie has the most heartfelt emotional single scene ever and I bet that if you have seen that movie you know what I'm talking about. If your new to the world of Pokémon and want a good jumping off point without having to watch hours of tv then you simply can't go wrong with Pokémon 3: The Movie.

Pokemon movies aren't known for being good as movies as most of them work more as long episodes of the show. About a quarter of them become decent films. This film is Pans Labyrinth meets the pokemon anime. If you can get behind that weird combination it's great. The movie has a solid story and heart.

This has to be my favorite of the Pokemon films. If you grew up watching and playing Pokemon, this one will bring back the memories of simpler times. The animation is beautiful and the music used speaks for the era it came out in (Early 2000s pop) Entei is a powerful Pokemon with amazing abilities! It takes place during the Johto region in Pokemon.
