A fun and fictional tale around real life legendary soccer coach Sir Matt Busby of England’s Manchester United team. Set in the 1980s, some 10 years after his retirement, Sir Matt (Brian Cox) is restless in the twilight of his life. When Georgie, an 11-year-old working class kid tries to steal Matt’s wallet, he tracks him down only to discover that far from being just another young thief, Georgie is an extraordinarily gifted soccer player and captain of a team of unruly talents. He is also the son of a young widow (Natascha McElhone) doing her best to keep her son out of trouble. Intrigued, Matt decides to embark on his own method of teaching the hoodlum-in-the-making a lesson.
