About this movie

Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin team up as lifelong buddies Willie, Joe and Al, who decide to buck retirement and step off the straight-and-narrow for the first time in their lives when their pension fund becomes a corporate casualty. Desperate to pay the bills and come through for their loved ones, the three risk it all by embarking on a daring bid to knock off the very bank that absconded with their money.

The premise is funny. The actors are great. The source material and script are trite and repetitive with only one short-lived, charming twist in the end. The characters aren't easy to care for. For a movie about grandpas it's not family friendly with a bevy of swearing including the F-word and some adult situations.

I ordered this because it had 5 stars and good actors... Not a good movie, I wish I would have picked something else. I will not be trusting the reviews in Google Play anymore.

Yeah, so it's okay. I liked the idea of the three men robbing the bank. However, I feel like this movie was more centered on stereotyping old men instead of it being just a comedy itself. I only laughed several times, I'm sad to say. But, okay, it's okay.
