With all the cheese written into today's vampire movie scripts by XXX adult film and B movie producers desperately masquerading as genuine writers in a thriving film genre, 90℅ of these projects are finished off with no trace of passion or respect for the work itself. The absence of art house or grindhouse finesse in a horror film almost always becomes evident on a vampire movie. 30 Days of Night completely scratches that stereotype. This movie is SCARY AS HELL, no talent agency misfires present here.

I thought it was really good. Even though the movie is like over 13 years old it really doesn't show it in anyway. It's because well 13 years ago wasn't that different but also because of the setting of Alaska and the fact that nothing in the movie is really dependant on technology. It's just people trying to survive against vampires. Seriously though. If I got turned into a bad a** vampire that was the strongest of all there is no way I'd kill myself. I'd be sort of a mysterious good vampire.

not gonna lie. I feel old as hell after I saw the it's "13 years old" review. its 14 now lol, but I re-watch it every time I see it available on tubi or crackle. it's timeless horror with good picture quality, amazing story and acting, and I would buy it if I weren't broke. check out part 2 also. dark days
