A guilty pleasure, I enjoyed this movie for what is was. It's cute, has some charm, and Terence Stamp is of course the star of the show - even with Eddie Murphy having top billing. Additionally, Mark Mancina's score was underappreciated, I feel. Take it for what it is. One shouldn't expect any competent moviegoer to think this film to be life-changing cinema.

In my house his movie is a family favorite. We love it. My children are 24 and 20. We all live in different states.. ( Alabama, Louisiana, and Texas ) and we are likely to watch it anytime we are all three together. It's right up there with Kangaroo Jack.. and A Knights Tale

I love this movie. I won't go so far to say it's a masterpiece. I realise that it's a straight to dvd type of film, but I love it for what it is. Which is a beautiful looking set , great props and entertaining kids movie. I love the nostalgic Halloween fun it inspires. It's a cute film, don't take it too seriously.
