Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

The movie capitalized off the name and had nothing to do with final fantasy. The character's facial features changed in every shot and the "rules" the phantams work by change for utmost convenience. For example sometimes they can go through walls other times they need to destroy it. The movies plot structure was shoddy and quite predictable. Over all this movie got 2/5 because its a crappy movie but the animation was great. Everything else sucked badly though

They had to name it differently and that would fix a lot of things with the Expectations. CGI was incredible for the time (Still holds up pretty well), the story was OK.

This movie, aside from a character named Cid, has virtually nothing to do with the franchise at large. Still not a bad movie if you ignore the FF connection
