Doesn't stay true to anything prior(including most of the characters) and contradicts way too much in the series to be taken as a serious part of the Little Mermaid's timeline. Seriously, between this and the 1st movie when would she have raised Spot, meet the Sea Monster, save Atlantis multiple times, save Eric, meet Schedule, save & befriend Urchin. Not to mention Flounder and Ariel met when they were kids and we're supposed to be bff ever since. And since when did the sisters share a room? U butcherd it

I enjoyed this movie, just not as much as the original Little Mermaid. I don't think it would hold water by itself like the original did. I think it's a good second movie to add to one of your child's favorite movies. Is it worth the spend? Only if your child loves the Little Mermaid.

A great movie I have seen a million times with my neice. Not sure if this came out before the LITTLE MERMAID, or after, but I saw it after, and this movie answered a lot of unanswered questions for me. Like what happened to Ariel's mom and stuff like that!
