Michael bay wants something low budget and profitable. Enter the purge- It doesn't break any new ground and doesn't reach for much complexity other than rich vs. poor. It knows it's just a step above a B film that allows both fledgling cast amd crew to prove themselves as worthy of being in the established escalon of Hollywood.

Let's see we have people screaming and making a lot of noise when trying to evade. Then we have a chatty girl. A lying lady wasting time. I wanted to give it zero stars for developing such dumb characters but the fight near the end was good. This movie began well but all these mistakes that each character made out of stupidity did not help and became a ball and chain for the man ready for revenge kill.

It was okay. It could have been a lot more. The actors are annoying. There is too much going on. If you are looking for something like the first one this isnt it. This is more like they got a good ideal, and then half assed it. There is way to much drama, the teen girl is so annoying talking all the time, they couldnt get the plot to come through with action, so they had to use the actors to spell it out for you. The first one was great. This one could have been done a lot better.
