Star Hopes
I'm still greatly impressed with this movie and still as in love with it as the day I saw it in the theater with my dad. I can not, can not believe this movie is now over 20 yrs old! Wow!!! This I think I would have to say is still my fave movie of all time, and my list of faves are like "Twister", "Titanic", "Independence Day", "The Stand", "Scream" (all of the movies and the tv show), "Die Hard", "Deep Impact", and many, many, many more and lots of major blockbusters . That alone makes this movie AMAZING. To this day the special effects even still hold up which alone is pretty unbelievable considering tech now a days can be out of date in a matter of a few months. Top notch cast of ppl I actually know and like. Killer story line and plot (no pun intended, ok busted, pun intended.) Full of action and you actually care bout if the ppl die or not. Some movies these days are so bad I actually route for them to kill everyone off even the so called "stars" of the movie. lol. You can't go wrong with this one. As of when I wrote this review I think I have seen this movie like 30 times now. Hehe. I'm a type that won't watch most movies again. Some I will watch maybe 3 or 4 times in a lifetime. Very rare ones make it much past that and only "Titanic" which I was obessed with in HS made it even past the 10 mark. I actually watched that one bout 20 times lol.

An asteroid the size of Texas heads toward Earth. In 18 days humanity's last hope are a group of men from an oil rig to save the human race from extinction. I like the scene where after the asteroid exploded people began to cheer and the control room was full of people applauding.

Absolute garbage. It's bad enough that it replaces character with effects, pointless explosions and stints that are horrible, but it's worse when NASA uses this movie for the students to point out the 126 things they did wrong as if they flunked kindergarten science.
