After getting involved in a scam, the trickster Valdomiro will live in a pension, located in the suburb of Rio, trying to escape from the Federal Police. The hard-worker Dona Jô, owner of the pension, receives him as a guest and sees that there is a good heart in him. While trying to rewrite his story in crooked lines, Valdo has to deal with the provocations of the insolent servant Ferdinando, the harassment of the fiery Terezinha, the oddities of the mysterious Wilson and the confusions of the young couple Jessica and Máicol.
