Hanno Tomoko (Uchida Rio), a reserved 30-year-old woman from Tokyo, currently lives alone in Gifu while she works for a company. Known as Panko, she is uncomfortable socialising with people and has a hard time expressing her opinions clearly. She also agonises about the subtle sexual harassment she has been subjected to by her boss and her struggle to turn down invitations from her colleagues. One day, Tomoko meets Takahashi Ryohei (Suzuki Nobuyuki) when she stops at a nearby bicycle shop for help after discovering that the bicycle chain has come off her bicycle. He runs the bicycle shop and is handsome, but has the appearance of a delinquent. Tomoko feels fearful of the slightly forceful Ryohei but gradually becomes attracted to him.
