Carmine Falcone commissiona l'assassinio di Jim Gordon e manda Victor Zsasz a ucciderlo per vendicare la morte di suo figlio Mario. Lee Thompkins, facendo visita ad Arkam all'ormai folle capitano Barnes, capisce che Mario era davvero infettato dal virus e che l'avrebbe potuta uccidere. Decide, perciò, di intervenire e prega Falcone di annullare l'omicidio salvando la vita a Gordon. La famosa giornalista Margaret Hearst programma un'intervista in diretta tv al sindaco Pinguino cercando di screditarlo agli occhi dei cittadini di Gotham, ma Oswald Cobblepot inizia a perdere la ragione, dopo aver visto il fantasma di suo padre Elija Van Dahl, e uccide Tarquin, vice Capo dello Staff.
