Dark Horse

Under mysterious circumstances, 17-year-old Anna and her mother, Eva, leave their golden life in China for a small town in Denmark. They move in with Eva's brother. But beneath the surface lie old grudges and strained family relationships. Anna struggles to adapt to her new life. At the local high school, she is attracted to a group of friends. In a desperate attempt to fit in and break free from her overbearing mother, Anna breaks into her uncle's veterinary clinic and steals ketamine. The first step on a dangerous path.
