Ra'Nell, reputedly violent after stabbing his violent father, is quiet and withdrawn. While his mother is in hospital, he is cared for by his close friend Leon, who was once a respected enforcer in the city, but has since drawn a line under his past.
Lisa's friend Heather enlists Ra'Nell's help to grow cannabis in order to earn enough money to leave the city and raise her future child in a safer place.

Ra'Nell's best friend Gem gets in over his head when he starts working as a dealer for Summerhouse kingpins Dushane and Sully.
