The L Word
Fresh out of the University of Chicago, Jenny Schecter (Mia Kirshner) moves in with her boyfriend Tim Haspel (Eric Mabius) in West Hollywood, where she hopes to succeed in writing. Soon she meets her neighbors Bette Porter (Jennifer Beals) and Tina Kennard (Laurel Holloman), a lesbian couple trying to have children.
Jenny then discovers the lesbian community and meets Marina Ferrer (Karina Lombard), owner of the local coffee shop The Planet, Shane McCutcheon (Katherine Moennig), an androgynous hairdresser with an intense sex life, Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey), a journalist, Dana Fairbanks (Erin Daniels), a closeted professional tennis player, and Kit Porter (Pam Grier), Bette's half-sister.
