Dean Winchester tells the story of his parents, John Winchester and Mary Campbell, how they met, fell in love and fought creatures and monsters together.
It all begins on March 23, 1972, when John Winchester returns home to Lawrence, Kansas, from the Vietnam War. He meets Mary Campbell, whose father, Samuel, has recently disappeared. Mary saves John from a demon. Discovering the world of the supernatural, John learns that his father has many secrets.
He joins Mary and her friends, Latika, an apprentice demon hunter, and Carlos.
