Sentinels

In the Sahel region, a group of young soldiers from the French army's 22nd infantry regiment find themselves caught in an ambush. What was supposed to be a simple exploratory mission turns into a death trap for these committed volunteers. Help was slow in arriving, and the situation grew more complicated with time. In this almost deserted valley, thousands of miles from their homeland and under enemy attack, what else do those who signed up just a few months earlier aspire to? Why did they choose to enlist? Was it out of love for their country and to defend its interests? Or did they enlist for the travel, the pay and the automatic weapons?
