In the midst of a fragmented China, where armed conflict is omnipresent, two parentless children, Hyô and Xin, are reduced to slaves for a family in the Qin region. While they are busy carrying heavy loads, the ground begins to vibrate ominously. Piqued by these earth vibrations, the two friends rush to the place where the noise seems to be coming from. What they find is a vast battlefield. Fascinated, the two companions are determined to become legendary fighters. However, fate is about to separate them, as Hyô, a peaceful, thoughtful young man, is sent to work in the royal palace. Xin, impulsive and courageous, must continue his solo training, despite his status as a slave, determined to achieve his goal...
