De Verhulstjes

The idea for ‘De Verhulstjes’ came about after the success of the online series ‘Viktor Vlogdown’. In it, Viktor recorded the family’s ups and downs, which garnered 6.7 million views on vier.be and YouTube. “The content remained funnily simple: baking a cake for a birthday dog, playing a game, a lockdown beard or a shrimp peeling competition,” says Annick Bongers, program director at SBS, the parent company of channels Vier, Vijf and Zes, in Het Nieuwsblad. “But it was the first time that we were able to follow the family so closely. With ‘De Verhulstjes’ we are now going for a full-fledged program at the family’s home. A special bubble with very ordinary activities.”
