Seattle Grace Hospital welcomes the new class of interns including Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo). She will be supervised by Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), Dr. Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) and Dr. Burke (Isaiah Washington).
Meredith will have to live under the rhythm of patients, serious cases, love stories and friendship to become a resident doctor, and, why not, head of the surgery department.
Her mother has Alzheimer's disease and was a renowned surgeon. So she tries to do her justice and honor.
She works alongside Alex Karev (Justin Chambers), Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh), Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) and George O'Malley (T.R. Knight), but most importantly, she will have a special relationship with Dr. Derek Shepherd, whom she met before she started as an intern. Meredith lives with Izzie and George as roommates.
Life at the hospital will undergo many changes over the years. Around Meredith, everything will be upset, doctors will leave, others will arrive.
