Miao Yue

Chinese director and writer. In 1978 Miao studied in Guiyang Normal University (now Guizhou Normal University), majoring in Chinese Language and Literature . He started writing novels while studying at university. In the 1980s, he published "Call of the Heart", "Between Men" and "ABC in Summer" in magazines such as "Huaxi", "People's Literature" and "Modern Writers". In 1988 Miao served as the screenwriter of the feature film " Filmmaker ". In 1990, he served as the assistant director of the drama film " Journey to the South ". In 1991, he began a one-year study in the directing training class of the Directing Department of Beijing Film Academy; in the same year, he served as the screenwriter of the feature film " Heart Fragrance ", which co-starred Zhu Xu , Wang Yumei , Fei Yang , etc.
