Shizuko Tabata

Tabata Shizuko (1972, Hokkaido, Japan) graduated from Image Forum Institute in 2000. Began creating experimental film works in 1999. "Three minutes out" won the Grand Prize and audience Choice Award at the 2002 Extremely Short film festival. "Monorail" got Best film prize at Indy Film Library Experimental Showcase 2021. She makes experimental moving image works based on the principles of animation by using photographs.
