Sam Reetz

Sam Reetz is a writer, producer and performer. She is the founder and "Chief Wavemaker" at Millennial Ethics, which creates original scripted content to chart a new course for policy conversations between generations. Millennial Ethics' properties include Don't Schmuck It Up, Not One (released), Flip the Script, Just A Second, Probable Cause, Saudade (announced), among others in various stages of development and production.

As a thought leader in the social innovation space, her work breaks down complex issues into educational and entertaining narratives designed to highlight the need for more balanced media portraits. She has spoken publicly in lectures and panels on the importance of creating spaces for intergenerational discourse and the need for interdisciplinary thinking to achieve an equitable approach to media and entertainment, emerging technology, and domestic and foreign policy. Originally from the Sunshine State, she began her career performing in local musical theatre productions and then trained with CAP21, T.Schreiber Studio & Conservatory, Atlantic Acting School, Heidi Marshall Studio, and others, taking on roles in Off-Broadway showcases, commercials, and independent films and series. She got her start behind the lens interning with Ramaa Moseley's The Brass Teapot, Atlantic Pictures, and Roadside Entertainment, honing her skills in publicity, creative development, and post-production before making the jump to freelance consulting in physical production and marketing. No matter a project's scope, budget, or format, her mission stays its course: to encourage audiences to change their lens on media, society, and culture - to think beyond the individual, take a closer look at what shapes the system, and motivate and mobilize their circles to swim upstream and do the same. Most recently, she was a finalist for Encore.org's 2021 Gen2Gen Innovation Fellowship. She also worked as a community organizer for South Dade during the historic campaign of The Honorable Madame Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.

Sam has served on the board of directors of various non-profits. An advocate for social justice, systemic equality, and intergenerational cooperation, she collaborates with and mentors a rising tide of diverse voices in media and entertainment. An alumnus of Sarah Lawrence College and Wadham College, University of Oxford, her interdisciplinary studies ranged from anthropology and neuroscience to jazz music and included a focus on the behavioral, cultural, and systemic impact of crimes against humanity. As an artist of Brazilian, German, and Native American (Muscogee) heritage with a passion for storytelling beyond borders, Sam is eager to explore co-productions in international markets as well as financing partnerships.
