Tom Wright is a filmmaker from Leeds. After making short films for 5 years he made his debut feature film "Friends of Luke" on a shoe-string budget with a cast and crew composed entirely of young people aged between 17-20. Tom has also produced a large body of experimental films one notable example "Desca" was shown in the Royal Academy of Arts in 2021. His work is often characterized by personal idiosyncratic comedy, small casts and dialogue driven scripts. As well as film Tom has a background in theatre performing in Leeds, while also writing and staging a couple plays as a teenager.
