Gina is a photographer and lives in London. At the heart of her photographer’s philosophy is the desire to discover the confines of beauty, decadence, nostalgia and neglect by exploring abandoned buildings. In her work, she avoids the documentary approach in favour of a careful compositional and aesthetic study to breathe life into her subjects.
Each picture is the fruit of many journeys; physical, fraught with difficulty of access to often prohibited places or sites relegated to the fringes of the city, and temporal, visible in the desolation of the structures captured by her camera.
Gina has exhibited in prestigious galleries both at home and abroad, and has been awarded various prizes. If she were to win the Master of Photography, she’d be able to make her wildest dreams come true and travel to the four corners of the world.
