Sixth movie of the Scream saga and second of the "reboot" version. Neve Campbell does not appear in this one. It is the second one for Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega.

One year after the Woodsboro murders orchestrated by Richie and Amber, Sam and Tara Carpenter are now in New York.

Tara (Jenna Ortega) attends Blackmore University with fellow survivors Chad (Mason Gooding) and Mindy Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown), along with their roommate Quinn Bailey (Liana Liberato), Mindy's girlfriend Anika Kayoko (Devyn Nekoda) and Chad's roommate Ethan Landry (Jack Champion). Sam (Melissa Barrera) goes to counseling while she still has that killer image.

Quinn's father, Detective Wayne Bailey (Dermot Mulroney), calls Sam in for questioning because her ID was found at a murder scene along with a Ghostface mask worn during last year's attacks... The masked killer is still stalking Sam and Tara.
