All's War, In Love and Fairs
The Partridge Family is eagerly anticipating their vacation after finishing a club date in Las Vegas. Reuben would like them to accept the management's offer to appear for another two weeks, but they all refuse.
On the way to the hotel, the bus breaks down. They are towed in to Cal Courtney's garage and he gives them the bad news that they will have to spend the night because he doesn't have the part needed to repair the bus. The family is disappointed at having to postpone their vacation, but there is nothing they can do about it so they resolve to make the best of things.
Cal's wife, Amanda, is excited and glad to have the famous singing stars staying at her place. She would like to ask them to appear at a fair for the benefit of the local Indian tribe, but she can't get up the courage and she resorts to deceiving them into staying longer.
When it appears that the family will be leaving, Amanda and Cal take the Partridges to the Indian reservation with the result that they volunteer
